PPF Tower

PPF Tower

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The PPF Headquarters is a landmark commercial development located in the heart of Dar es Salaam’s business district, along Sam Nujoma Road. Widely recognized as one of Tanzania’s most prominent architectural features, the tower stands out with its bold form and distinctive blue glass façade, contributing significantly to the city’s modern skyline.

Covering approximately 66,000 square meters of coated glass, the building represents one of the largest glazing projects in East Africa. Its façade reflects both the dynamic character of the city and the growing demand for high-performance, visually striking building envelopes in the region.

For this project, AluK’s SG50 curtain wall system was used to deliver a sleek, structurally glazed façade. The system enabled a clean, frameless external appearance while supporting the performance requirements of a high-rise building in a demanding environment. The combination of aesthetics and functionality ensured that the design intent was maintained without compromising on energy efficiency or durability.

As one of the largest glazing projects in the region, the development required a façade solution that could meet international quality standards while aligning with the client’s focus on value, performance, and sustainability. The goal was to achieve improved thermal performance without sacrificing the architectural vision of the building.
